Trump executive order renames Lake Ontario 'Lake America', Google Maps updates, Trump: 'I don't want Canadian anything'

A lake born in glacial times, survived by centuries of being called Ontario. Preceded in death by cross-border cooperation, it is now rechristened 'Lake America'—at the president’s request, and Google’s, and the map’s. The executive order runs through tech companies like a hot knife, and the digital border is drawn as quickly as the physical one. In lieu of flowers, hon, please send a letter to your geography teacher asking for a map update.

“When the president says he doesn't want Canadian anything, the map follows orders. Lake Ontario gets renamed 'Lake America,' just like that. The only thing more embarrassing than Google flipping the switch is watching the country redraw borders to match a tweet.”

“Look, it's about American pride. If the president wants to rebrand a lake, that's his prerogative. The tech companies are only following lawful orders. Did I say lawful? I meant patriotic. It’s not about Canada, it’s about sovereignty. Wait, did I say sovereignty? Well, you get the idea.”
