That's a strong claim, and strong claims deserve scrutiny, so let's scrutinize the other half of the story, which is that the man leading House Democrats toward that supposed majority, Jim Clyburn, is on record saying impeachment shouldn't even be a priority if they win. That's — that's actually the opposite of a threat posture. That's restraint. That's a senior member publicly lowering the temperature before he's even got the gavel.

Now, the argument, as I understand it, is about who gets 'put in power' inside a majority — committee chairs, leadership slots, that sort of thing — and the concern is that certain members with certain views would gain influence.
