Commissioner's 'controversial' tenure ends; the controversy was a man demanding a peace summit over who counts as female.

“They call it "controversial" because "a guy who never played in the league tried to dictate who gets to play in it" doesn't fit the headline font. Four outlets ran the euphemism and not one asked what he's the commissioner of. That's the trick — get the demand covered as "peace" and the seven years of actual money that built this league never gets a paragraph.”
Sal
“Look, "controversial" is just an objective news word, it doesn't mean anything happened — well, no, it means something happened, that's what controversial— okay, it means something happened that nobody in the room wants to type out loud. And "peace talks" is a perfectly normal phrase for one side asking the other to change its rules or else. Did I say "or else"? I meant... dialogue.”
