SAME AGENCY
Same agency that arrests parents at school bus stops charges an official with pocketing $960,000 to sell citizenship.
“The agency that hauls parents off the curb in front of the school bus is the same agency where a senior official just got charged with pocketing damn near a million bucks selling citizenship. One line's free, so they run it as hard as they want, on families standing at a bus stop. The other line comes with a $960,000 price tag, and that's apparently the only one that needed a badge to notice.”
“Look, we caught him ourselves, prosecuted our own guy, that's the system working exactly as designed — okay, our own senior official, in the same building, maybe that's not the win I think it is. And the bus-stop operations, that's just interior enforcement doing its job on schedule, nothing to do with the other case at all — did I say "schedule"? I meant to say something else. Strike that.”
