Before last week, the whole contribution history of Trump's super PAC MAGA Inc. read as one line in the ledger: about $800,000, sent to Darline Graham. That was the entire record for the 2026 cycle, hon.
On August 27th, a Texas Public Opinion Research poll showed Democrat James Talarico leading Republican Ken Paxton in the Senate race. The next day, Senator John Cornyn called Paxton "lazy" and "a poor campaigner," and told the Texas Tribune he was holding off on fundraising for his own party's nominee.…
…(cont) On September 1st, Lone Star Liberty PAC, aligned with Paxton, released two new ads priced at $15 million, set to run across 18 Texas markets over two weeks. The next day, September 2nd, Talarico's campaign filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission, accusing Paxton and his campaign treasurer of illegally routing $1 million to that same Paxton-aligned PAC.
On September 3rd, Karl Rove told the Texas Tribune that time was running out for Paxton, and that if the president wanted him to win, the money needed to start moving. Two days later, on Saturday, September 5th, it moved. MAGA Inc. filed with the FEC to spend $10 million on ads against Talarico — its first general-election expenditure of the cycle, and three days after the complaint accusing Paxton of moving money the same way.
Divide that $10 million by the $800,000 sent to Graham and the multiple comes to twelve and a half, one number, filed once, for one Senate seat.
The complaint against Paxton, over $1 million allegedly routed through a super PAC, was logged at the Federal Election Commission on September 2nd. The $10 million filing that answered it, in ads defending the same nominee, was logged at the same commission three days later. Both are on file at the same address.
Paxton's opponent says $1 million moved through a PAC illegally. Ten million more just moved through a PAC, disclosed, dated, and public. The amount changed. The address didn't.

A strategist says the money needs to start moving, and two days later ten million dollars starts moving, straight to a guy who's already sitting on a complaint for moving money the wrong way through the same kind of PAC. That seat votes on your kid's healthcare same as anybody's, and it just got bought at twelve and a half times the going rate.”
“Look, this is just a party standing behind its nominee down the stretch — that's called solidarity, that's called — okay, maybe "solidarity" isn't the word when the guy's already got an FEC complaint sitting on his own money-routing. It's disclosed spending, it's legal, it's all filed with the commission, it's — did I say "legal"? I meant filed. That's all I meant.”
