Trump vows post-midterm oil drop as crude hits $100
“That's the promise and the invoice, right there. They tell you the price will fall if you vote the right way, while the meter spins faster every day. The stakes are in the gas tank — the only thing tumbling is your grocery money.”
“Look, the president said prices would drop after the midterms, not before. The market is unpredictable, and besides, $100 is just a number. Did I say that? I mean, it's a temporary spike. Probably.”
The receipts
The price of oil surged again, with Brent crude surpassing $105 per barrel for the first time since May as markets brace for a long U.S. war with Iran.
