House Ethics panel dismisses Omar probe, Comer demands its evidence to expel her
“Comer chairs Oversight, so if he wants immigration evidence he should ask Oversight — instead he's pointing at a different committee that already voted to drop its own file on her. They cleared her, they killed the probe, and now somebody shows up asking for a receipt nobody kept. That's not an investigation, that's the paperwork for a vote they'd already decided to take.”
“Look, Chairman Comer isn't asking the Ethics panel for anything, he's asking the administration — completely separate lane, brand new evidence, nothing to do with the file that got dismissed. Sure, her own watchdog cleared her nine days ago, but that's old evidence, this would be new evidence, once somebody actually produces some. Did I just say nobody's produced any yet? That's not — let's move on.”
