“Bass didn't fix a damn thing, she got out before the audit landed and let the whole agency die right on schedule — that's the con, quit before they can pin it on you. Now two governments are fist-fighting over who gets the leftover programs, and while that's happening D.C.'s quietly rewriting the rule so homeless kids don't even get priority for a Head Start seat anymore. Follow the exits, not the press releases — everybody with a title bails right before the bill comes due, and the kids are the ones left holding it.”
“The Mayor stepping down was accountability — you want leaders who walk away from waste instead of defending it, that's integrity, not... okay, abandoning it six weeks before it collapses, that's — did I say collapse? I meant restructuring. And the Head Start change isn't cutting kids, it's giving providers "flexibility," which is just the word we use instead of "fewer kids get in."”
