“The 50 percent tariff is what made steel expensive, and now the guy who signed it is doing a White House event to celebrate a plant that fixes it in 2030. Everybody framing a house, paving a lot, or building a school pays the higher number for four more years so Iowa can get 1,750 jobs and a photo op five weeks before the midterms. Three weeks ago Iowa got a $1.9 billion federal loan too. They tell you there's no money for your kid's school; there's money — it goes to Iowa in an election year.”
