The courts have kept the ledger. After 2020 the campaign and its allies brought more than 60 cases; by mid-December the tally was 59 lost out of 60 12. In October of last year a federal judge permanently blocked the proof-of-citizenship requirement in the March 2025 election order 3. The mail-ballot order of this March was allowed to proceed by the Supreme Court, 6 to 3, on August 24, written into a Postal Service rule on August 26, blocked again by a federal judge on September 4, and appealed on September 6 456.
And the rolls. By the Brennan Center's count, the Justice Department has asked at least 48 states and Washington, D.C., for their voter files; at least 16 handed them over; the department sued D.C. and 30 states that did not, and 23 of those suits have been dismissed 7. Rigged is a claim about who counts the vote. Thirty lawsuits are a claim on the list of who may cast one.

The argument has been consistent for six years, in its own words. In August of last year he announced an executive order "to help bring HONESTY to the 2026 Midterm Elections," recounting that Russia's president had told him "your election was rigged because you have mail-in voting" 12. In October: "The 2020 Presidential Election, being Rigged and Stolen, is a far bigger SCANDAL," and the remedy, "No mail-in or 'Early' Voting, Yes to Voter ID!" 3. In April, after Virginia voters narrowly approved a redistricting amendment: "RIGGED," and "Let's see if the Courts will fix this travesty of 'Justice'" 4. That time they did: the state's supreme court struck the amendment down in May, and on May 15 the U.S. Supreme Court declined to restore it 5.
The case as made: an election held in person, on one day, with identification, is easier to supervise than one spread over weeks by mail. That is a position, and in Virginia the courts gave him the result he asked for. The rest of the docket is on the other side.
