These are not warnings to Americans. They are foreign ministries warning their own nationals about traveling to the United States.

  • Germanywarns Germans about the United States: A visa no longer guarantees entry; a slight overstay can mean "arrest, detention and deportation" — issued after three Germans were detained at the border (Mar 2025, The Hill)
  • United Kingdomwarns Britons about the United States: "You may be liable to arrest or detention if you break the rules" — the arrest warning added after a British national was detained; February's version had none (Mar 2025, Global News)
  • Denmarkwarns Danes about the United States: Told transgender citizens and X-passport holders to call the US embassy before flying — the entry form now accepts only sex at birth (Mar 2025, Newsweek)
  • Finlandwarns Finns about the United States: Warned that a passport gender not matching sex at birth may mean denied entry (Mar 2025, Helsinki Times)
  • Canadawarns Canadians about the United States: "Expect scrutiny at ports of entry, including of electronic devices... you could be detained while awaiting deportation." Stays over 30 days must now register with the US government (Mar 2025, CBC)
  • Netherlandswarns the Dutch about the United States: Tightened its advisory for LGBTIQ+ travelers: US laws and customs "may differ" (Mar 2025, NL Times)
